Providing Quality, Affordable and Energy-Efficient Homes
Families with low to moderate incomes often find the American dream of homeownership out of reach. Yet homeownership enriches our city and strengthens our neighborhoods and families.
KLF’s Neighborhood Housing program provides buyers with high quality, moderately priced homes, as well as up to $29,000 in grant money to assist with the housing purchase. Homeowners attend homebuyer education classes and generally contribute only $1,000 – $1,600 toward closing costs and fees. To learn more about our Homebuyer Readiness Program, click here.
Our partners include the City of Knoxville Department of Development, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME Grant, East Tennessee Foundation Affordable Housing Trust, Tennessee Housing Development Agency, Knox County Community Development Department and the regional USDA Rural Development Office.
