MIG and Johnnie Creel

I was born in New Hampshire, but moved to Tennessee at a very young age, and attended Maryville High School. I then went on to Clemson University, graduating with a degree in English. My first job out of school was working for Rolling Stone Magazine in New York. Life changing decisions brought me to Knoxville in my early twenties. I had quit my job in New York, and was hired as a temp to answer the phones at a very young mortgage company, called Mortgage Investors Group (MIG). I hated that job, but for some reason, when MIG needed a temp again, they requested me. I ended up loving the employees at MIG. So, when a new position was offered to me, I took the job! It was supposed to be only for a few months, but here I am twenty something years later! I spend most of my free time with my husband, Harvey, and our two teenage daughters. One daughter is a field hockey enthusiast, and the other an equestrian. I strive to find a balance between career and family, and am lucky that I work for such a great company which allows me to schedule my 60 hour work week around those moments with family you don’t want to miss!

A Baton Rouge, LA native, Johnnie Creel graduated from LSU with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Johnnie Creel is also a member of the Knoxville Economic Development Committee and Knox Heritage.
